COMMUNITY SKILLSHARE SERIES 

         Pine Needle Basket Weaving - Dec.  8, 2025 (Monday) 

        Facilitated by Tay

        We will look at examples of coiled baskets and stitched coiled baskets made from ponderosa needles and local grasses. Taylor will demo how to start a coiled pine needle basket and a stitched pine needle basket. Everyone can try starting a basket and get information for finishing it at home.

Materials to Bring (we will have limited extras for a donation fee that you can take home with you):

• Dry pine needles (the longer the better)
• Darning needle
• Sinew, cord, and/or thread
• Sharp-pointed needle with eye that fits your thread
• Tube guide (cut from a plastic or rubber straw)
